Your employer owes you a safe work environment under OHSA. One common myth is that unsafe workplaces aren’t something youth have to deal with. However, unsafe work does not always mean something as extreme as asking you to handle hazardous chemicals or climb a huge building without a harness. Being exposed to loud noises over extended periods of time, bending over a desk, or being asked to carry unreasonably heavy objects can also be considered unsafe work and you are just as entitled to refuse doing so without penalty until you have accommodations.
