Gender Wage Gap: What Would You Do?
If you and a coworker are performing work of the same value, you are entitled to equal pay. It’s tricky to approach pay disclosure; the idea of asking someone how much they’re making was taught to many of us as an etiquette no-no. But what’s more of a no-no is when your paycheck is being impacted by bias.
Remember that you are allowed to ask a trusted coworker their pay if you suspect gender discrimination, regardless of your workplace’s pay disclosure policy.
